Choose a Silent Retreat
Silent Preached Retreat
A Silent Preached Retreat offers daily talks given by a retreat master to a group. The talks are to guide your prayer and reflection. It's ideal for those seeking structure, communal liturgy, and quiet space to grow in friendship with Jesus.
Elements of a Preached Retreat:
- Talks given by retreat guide
- Semi-structured day with group prayer, talks, and guided meditations
- Held at St. Charles College or Our Lady of the Oaks
- Many options cater towards specifically men and women
Silent Directed Retreat
In a Silent Directed Retreat, each retreatant meets one-on-one daily with a spiritual director, often a Jesuit priest, who tailors the retreat based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. This is a more personalized, prayer-centered option.
Elements of a Directed Retreat:
- Daily direction from a spiritual Father
- Completely Silent with no structure
- Held at St. Charles College
- Options: 3-Day, 5-Day, 8-Day, & 30-Day
